We don't collect your data. Period. VibeChat is designed from the ground up to know as little about you as possible. No registration, no message storage, no tracking. Your conversations are yours alone.

Information We Don't Collect

Unlike most platforms, here's what we never collect:

• Personal Information: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifying information
• Message Content: We don't store, log, or read your messages. Ever.
• Behavioral Data: No tracking of clicks, time spent, or usage patterns
• Location Data: We don't access or store your GPS location
• Device Information: We don't fingerprint your device or collect hardware identifiers
• IP Addresses: We don't log IP addresses for user identification

How VibeChat Works

VibeChat uses WebSocket technology to enable real-time communication. Here's what happens technically:

• When you visit VibeChat, your browser connects to our server via WebSocket
• You choose a nickname (which can be anything and is not verified)
• Messages are transmitted in real-time between connected users
• Messages pass through our server only to route them to the correct recipient
• Messages are never stored on our servers – they exist only in transit
• When you close your browser tab, your session ends completely

Local Storage

VibeChat uses your browser's local storage to save your preferences (like your chosen nickname and theme). This data:

• Is stored only on your device
• Never leaves your browser
• Is not accessible to us
• Can be cleared by you at any time through your browser settings

Cookies

VibeChat does not use cookies for:

• Tracking or analytics
• Advertising
• User identification
• Cross-site tracking

We may use essential cookies only for basic functionality (like maintaining your connection), but these contain no identifying information.

Third-Party Services

We minimize third-party dependencies. Currently:

• Google Fonts: We use Inter font from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy applies to this service.
• We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform
• We do not use advertising networks
• We do not share data with any third parties

Data Retention

Because we don't collect data, there's nothing to retain. Specifically:

• Messages are not stored and cannot be retrieved after delivery
• No user profiles exist to delete
• No conversation history is maintained
• When your session ends, all trace of your activity ends with it

Children's Privacy

VibeChat is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the service. Since we don't collect any personal information, we have no way to verify ages. Parents should monitor their children's internet usage.

Your Rights

Under various privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights regarding your personal data. However, since we don't collect personal data:

• There's no data to access, correct, or delete
• There's no data being sold (we don't sell any data)
• There's no profiling or automated decision-making

While no system is 100% secure, our approach to security is simple: you can't breach data that doesn't exist. By not collecting or storing user data, we eliminate the primary target for hackers.

We use secure WebSocket connections (WSS) for communication, and our servers are configured with security best practices.
